Sparkling Snowstorm Nails

Published November 21, 2016 by beginnersnailart

Hi everyone, this week I’ve done a sparkly, abstract snowstorm look. I always love snowflake nail art but find it hard to do myself, but I was really please with how this one turned out.For this design you’ll need a black polish, a frosty blue, frosty white, silver glitter, makeup sponge, and two different sized dotting tools.I’ve used Technic’s Jet Black, Turkish Sea, Angel Gown, and Stardust. The dotting tool I used is double ended with two different sizes.

Step 1: once your base coat dries, paint your nails with two coats of black polish and let it dry.
Step 2: sponge a little of your frosty blue over the black.
Step 3: with your bigger dotting tool, place two to four dots on each nail.
Step 4: fill in the rest of your nail with smaller dots.

Step 5: (excuse the lack of picture, stupid me forgot to take one) use your dotting tools to place some silver glitter polish over all the dots.

Step 6: clean up around your nails, apply topcoat, and you’re done!

I really hope you liked this easy, alternative take on snowstorm/snowflake nails.

Snow Storm Nails

Published January 25, 2016 by beginnersnailart

Hi everyone. This week I’ve tried out a frosty design inspired by all the snow that everyone’s been getting recently.

All you need for this design is a white polish, a silver polish, a pearly/frosty white polish, and two dotting tools (a medium & a small).

For my nails I’ve used White, Gardenia, and Gun Metal, all by Technic. The dotting tool I’ve used is double ended.

Step 1: paint your nails with two thin coats of your white polish.
Step 2: add a thin layer of your pearly/frosty polish (starting with the white base will mean less streaks in this polish).
Step 3: use your large dotting tool and place some silver dots in the top third of your nails.
Step 4: repeat this with your white polish, but with slightly more white dots & go about half way down your nails.
Step 5: add a few silver dots with your small dotting tool.
Step 6: go back in with your white polish and small dotting tool and add a few white dots, concentrating them at the tips of your nails.
Step 7: give the polish time to dry, clean up around your nails, apply topcoat and you’re done!

I really hope you liked this design, and if your area is getting hit with heavy snow just now, stay safe and stay warm!

Thanks for looking,
