Subtle Christmas Nails – Polka Dot Baubles

Published December 12, 2016 by beginnersnailart

Hi everyone. This week’s design is a lovely (and easy) design for everyone out their who loves a bit of Christmas nail art, but either doesn’t want to go full on, or can’t have anything too over the top at work or school. You can use any colours you like for your baubles: anything from one to five colours, and matching glitter polishes. You’ll also need a white polish, black polish, and two dotting tools (one small and one large).I’ve used Technic’s White, Jet Black, Ginger, Gun Metal, Izzy Whizzy, and Stardust.

Step 1: paint your nails with two coats of white polish and let it dry.

Step 2: using your large dotting tool, place five dots on each nail (don’t forget to clean the dotting tool in between each colour).
Step 3: switch to the small dotting tool and place a little black dot on the top of each of the larger dots to make the baubles.
Step 4: switch back to the large dotting tool and go over each dot with the corresponding glitter polish (again, don’t forget to clean the dotting tool in between each colour).
Step 5: clean up around your nails, add topcoat, and you’re done!

I really hope you enjoyed this subtle and sparkly Christmas look, and give it a go with your favourite colours,
Kirsteen x
