Last Minute Ghost Nails

Published October 19, 2015 by beginnersnailart

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all looking forward to Halloween! This week’s design is a fast and easy one that’s great for a last minute Halloween party (or just trick or treating).

To recreate it you’ll only need three things: a white polish, a black polish, and a dotting tool (any size). If you don’t have a dotting tool you can use a dry ball point pen, the end of a cheap makeup brush, a toothpick, or failing that even the polish brush! The great thing is that it doesn’t have to be neat, which makes it quicker, and each nail will look slightly different too.

For this tutorial I’ve used Technic’s Jet Black and White. I’ve used my large dotting tool, but as I said above any size will do.

Step 1: paint your nails with two coats of white polish and let it dry for 10 minutes.
Step 2: dip your dotting tool in the black polish and dab on uneven blobs/ovals for the ghosts’ eyes (the size/length depends on your nails length).
Step 3: load up your dotting tool with more black polish and dab on a big blob for the mouth ( if your nails are longer, try making this an oval instead of a circle).
Step 4: give the black a few minutes to dry while you clean up around your nails, apply topcoat, and you’re done! Also, don’t worry if you smudge the black with your topcoat, with this design it still looks great (and like you meant it!).

I really hope you liked this years third and final Halloween design!

Thanks for looking, Kirsteen x
