Plaid Nail Design

Published February 16, 2013 by beginnersnailart

Hi everyone. I found a great bargain in Primark yesterday, a pack of two nail art pens with nail gems for £2. So I thought this design would be a great way to try them out. I bought the pack with black and white pens, which come with silver and pink gems. The pens also unscrew to give you a striper brush. They do a pack with bright orange and pink too, definitely a good buy. For this design you’ll need a bright colour of your choice for your base colour, black and white stripers and a striper in a bright colour of your choice (different from your base colour). I used Beauty UK’s Girl Gone Wild for my base colour and a Rio nail art pen in bright pink. Tip: let each set of lines dry before applying the next to avoid the polishes smudging or bleeding into each other.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial, thanks for looking, Kirsteen.
